Position Summary:
Are you ready to start a new journey with a team of energized professionals advancing and connecting the world’s infrastructure? At Bentley Systems, we’re looking for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our team and support key strategic accounts. You will play a critical role in aligning Bentley’s technology with the business and technical goals of our top-tier customers.
As a TAM, you will drive revenue (ARR) and Consumption growth by managing the technical relationship with strategic accounts. Leveraging your industry knowledge, technical acumen, and consultative approach, you’ll work collaboratively with Account Managers, Product Teams, User Success, and Consulting teams to create lasting partnerships.
As a TAM, you will appreciate that achieving successful outcomes in infrastructure projects requires a holistic approach that includes people, processes, and data along with technical solutions. A key part of the role is to communicate this balance to stakeholders, aligning solutions with the customer's maturity and operational needs. Understanding industry standards like ISO 19650 is crucial for effective information management and collaboration throughout the asset lifecycle. TAMs must guide clients through this broader transformation journey, enabling long-term success and scalable digital advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Account Planning: Collaborate with Account Managers to develop and execute detailed technical account plans that align with business objectives and drive growth.
- Solution Alignment & Roadmap Influence: Build a deep understanding of your customer’s workflows, business drivers, and pain points to help shape and position Bentley’s current and future solutions.
- Discovery & Qualification: Lead technical discovery processes, including requirements definition, needs analysis, and workflow assessment to inform solution design and delivery strategy.
- Pre-Sales Execution: Support sales opportunities with solution architecture, technical presentations, product demos, pilot projects, and validation of business value and feasibility.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales leadership, product development, User Success, Consulting, and other industry specialists to ensure customer needs are fully supported.
- Internal Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer within Bentley, helping shape product direction and solution strategies through structured feedback and insights.
- Educate stakeholders on the importance of industry standards such as ISO 19650 to support best practices in information management and project delivery.
- Champion a holistic approach that emphasizes the role of people, processes, and data, alongside technology in achieving customer success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field (preferably infrastructure-related), or equivalent training or experience.
- 10+ years of experience in technical sales or solution consulting within infrastructure, engineering, or construction industries.
- Strong understanding of software technologies such as cloud and cybersecurity within domains such as transportation, energy, water, mining, or building infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to lead design lifecycle discussions and provide value-based solution recommendations.
- Experience managing change and driving technology adoption within customer environments.
- Deep familiarity with Bentley Systems’ solutions and their application in real-world infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with applying industry standards such as ISO 19650 to ensure consistency, compliance, and collaboration across projects.
- Strong appreciation for the importance of people, process, and data in delivering digital transformation, not just technology alone.
