Development Team Manager

Position Summary:

The Development Team Manager will be responsible for development and continuous delivery of Bentley's products for Bentley Infrastructure Cloud services based in close partnership with product management and user experience teams to deliver best in class solutions to Bentley's users and partners. They will have end-to-end product delivery ownership, including service uptime (SLA), and the ability to make data and telemetry-based decisions. The ideal candidate is a strong promoter of agile methods, cloud development with multi-tenant microservices. They can coach colleagues in the team through an "Empowered Team" approach to solve user requirements quickly, in partnership with product management to maximize market success and user adoption. To thrive in this role, they will also need to be excellent communicators with a bias for collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a development team to deliver highly available, scalable, and performant services.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the domain and products, their underlying architecture in context of Bentley technology and iTwin architecture.
- Set and maintain a high bar for code quality and excellence in delivery with ownership of uptime.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the performance of the engineering organization and drive the necessary structure, process, and system changes.
- Make data-driven decisions driving product adoption and usage, including investments in development priorities, and controlling costs through proper architectural choices, with constant vigilance towards usage growth.
- Partner with Product Management, UX and all levels of leadership to ensure alignment towards strategy and successful delivery of commitments.
- Build strong relationships externally and internally, with all levels of leadership to ensure alignment and coordinated engagement to achieve company objectives.
- Continuously foster a world-class development organization through hiring, coaching & training.
- Engage with key customers and occasionally represent the company or department at external events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered instead of a degree.
- Proven experience in Software Development with experience in cloud native service development in a multi-region environment.
- Strong leadership/management skills and experience managing globally diverse software development team.
- Deep understanding of DevOps, and understand complex technical issues, including multi-cloud approach to delivering cloud services.
- Proactively seeks and adapts to new knowledge, trends, and solutions to improve product performance, drive consistency at scale, and share knowledge with teams.
- Outcome-oriented with a keen sense of initiative, internal motivation, and an unrelenting focus to think and act strategically, lead and communicate effectively in all directions, and drive measurable results delivered on commitments.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity, honesty, and capability and able to know where and how to get the information required – knows what to ask and how to ask it.
- A coaching mindset, comfortable leading team, and direct reports through influence and with a continuous learning approach.

Please note if you are employed full-time, the salary for this position ranges from 4900 EUR gross (before taxes-Lithuania) depending on knowledge and experience.
