Position Summary:

Bentley is looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our APAC Colleague Relations team.  We are more than a traditional HR department - we are a results-driven and collaborative team leading change through executing best-practice policies, processes, procedures, and programs. As HR Manager, you will implement best practices for Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, and drive efficiencies across HR processes. You will work with talented colleagues and senior leaders throughout our entire organization and partner with the corporate centers of excellence such as Talent Management, Colleague Experience, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Systems & Analytics, to drive global functions.

The responsibilities cross many functions within HR, including but not limited to, Employee Relations, Compliance, Global Mobility, Engagement Compensation & Benefits, and Performance Management, Case management & Terminations. Due to the variety and breadth of responsibilities, we are looking for a dynamic HR professional who has international exposure, can think critically, act strategically and apply knowledge to the topic at hand to resolve issues.  

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Ensure and maintain the country's regulatory requirements, including tracking local legislative changes and suggesting responses to ensure continued compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement a Company-wide strategy and approach to align country-specific and global compliance requirements with employment practices and business objectives.
  • Coach and counsel managers and colleagues on matters relating to performance management, PIPs & PEPs, exit and termination management, and conduct internal investigations. Coach managers on the application of all colleague relation policies and processes.
  • Collaborate with the Colleague Success team members to deliver operational excellence enabling efficient and effective onboarding, off boarding, data management, data integrity and compliance.  
  • Demonstrate company values and behaviours every day.  
  • Manage audit and reporting processes, including coordination between functions and groups internally and externally.  
  • Represent the company from an HR side on labour arbitration. Working hand in hand with the legal team and HR Leadership team on such cases. Maintain expertise in legal requirements related to day-to-day management of colleagues, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.  
  • Close collaboration with our Colleague Services and Business partner team members.  
  • Provide appropriate local solutions/advice to our Colleague Technology and Analytics team for Workday HCM and Dayforce payroll application implementation.
  • Proactively stay up to date on industry trends, researching and recommending best practices to follow.  
  • Provide appropriate compensation recommendations based on internal and external benchmarks, including international mobility cases.
  • Maintain a competitive benefits portfolio for each country, through annual review and market evaluation.  Prepare proposals and work with vendors to deliver a high quality offering in line with strategic objectives.
  • Accountability for maintaining country/city-specific policies, handbooks, and procedure documents up-to-date.

 

 What You Bring to The Team:

  • At least 8-10 years in a hands-on HR Generalist role, including 4 years of HR leadership experience in MNC high-tech companies.  Employee relations and compliance-focused experience are essential. 
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and employment legislation for Singapore, Malaysia and Australia is essential. Knowledge of Indonesia, Philippines, NZ is a plus.
  • Capacity to work in English & understand the local cultures of assigned countries.
  • Experience with Workday HCM system
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources Management, preferably in a multi-country or global environment. 
  • Solid organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectives, prioritize assignments, and be comfortable with change and continuous improvement. 
  • A high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively as well as handle sensitive and confidential situations with care. 
  • A desire to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
