Position Summary:

 

Channel Account Representatives (CARs) are responsible for helping Channel Partners to achieve assigned sales targets and goals within a defined Territory.  They are responsible for assisting Channel Partners to sell Bentley offerings of licenses, subscriptions, and Cloud Offerings.

 

Channel Account Representatives are expected to engage with Channel Partners on their opportunities, assist in building pipeline, quoting accounts and closing business. As a single point of contact for Bentley’s Partners, Channel Sales Representatives will engage Product Sales, Account Managers, and other resources on behalf of partners to win business.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

  • Be accountable for Channel Partner transactions from beginning to closure/fulfillment.
  • Document, in-take, and service a pipeline of opportunities from Channel Partners in various ways, including: internet, our CRM environment, outbound calling, etc.
  • Complete and problem solve required documentation for clean order requirements and fulfillment for Partner orders.
  • Create and update opportunity, quote, and order information in CRM
  • Seek approvals for business transactions, where necessary, from Sales Management
  • Maintain a high knowledge level of the Bentley’s core offerings for each Channel Partner. applicable products and services.
  • Provide weekly activity reports to the team manager.
  • Keep Regional sales management and channel management informed of important, pending business with Channel Partners
  • Develop relationships inside Bentley and within our Channel Partners to assist making their business most successful.
  • Provide sales support for agency transactions (TRA/TSA) with special terms and conditions.
  • Confirm Deal Desk acceptance of all terms and conditions of special orders.

 

 

What You Bring To The Team:

 

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in business or business administration or equivalent.
  • Preferably, a minimum of 2 years Commercial experience in other software sales environments with Channel Partners.
  • You have a pleasant non-intrusive manner.
  • You are a self-starter and are accountable.
  • You combine customer focus with being service oriented and highly motivated.
  • You have a positive attitude, eye for detail, are resourceful and inquisitive. 
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone, web and face-to-face.
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
