Senior Software Engineer

Location: Lithuania (Office-Based/Home-Based/Hybrid)

Position Summary:

Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the team developing technologies to combat illegal use of Bentley’s industry-leading portfolio of infrastructure engineering applications.

This is a rare opportunity that blends hands-on software engineering and security research. You will work in a modern DevSecOps environment as part of a multinational, diverse team of experts. Collaborating with a dedicated anti-piracy team and software engineering teams across the globe.

We are seeking someone with in-depth C/C++ expertise and a keen interest in software security who wants to progress further as a Software Engineer or transition into a more security research-oriented role.

Responsibilities:

• Write well-tested, maintainable and well-documented code.
• Perform continuous research into attack vectors and possible exploits.
• Coordinate with an anti-piracy team to define and implement new countermeasures.
• Consult and assist software engineering teams to integrate countermeasures into Bentley applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong interest and demonstrable knowledge in software security
• Proficiency in C/C++ or other low-level language
• Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems
• Basic understanding of DevOps processes
• Basic understanding of Digital Rights Management (DRM)

Please note if you are employed full-time, the salary for this position ranges from 4000 EUR gross (before taxes-Lithuania) depending on knowledge and experience.
