Senior Accounting Assistant

Location: Europe (Office, Remote or Hybrid)

Position Summary:

We are recruiting a Senior Accountant Assistant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. The Senior Accounting Assistant is the key person in global cash allocation for Bentley and is part of the global Cash Allocation team. This role does not require travel and will report to the Manager Accounting.

Responsibilities:

• You are part of an international team with colleagues in USA, Europe, and India
• You process bank statements for Bentley Systems globally, allocating incoming and outgoing payments to the correct accounts

• Good understanding of different types of payments and GL & Bank Statement Reconciliation

• Constantly collaborate with all departments involved in requesting missing information regarding unidentified payments from the bank statement
• Perform timely execution of month-end closing procedures
• Handle e-mails for problem-solving critical issues on customer accounts
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.

Qualifications:

• At least three years of experience in an accounting position, preferably in Bank Reconciliation and Cash application of customer payments
• Experience with cloud-based ERP system Workday is required
• Good knowledge of English, verbally and in writing
• Has a hands-on, can-do mentality
• Team oriented, enthusiastic, and flexible
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
