Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Architect with strong development management skills to lead and drive the delivery of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across the organization. This role requires an effective communicator who excels in planning, prioritization, and execution of project work. The Salesforce Architect will serve as a critical partner, coordinating and connecting teams to ensure alignment with our leadership and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of Salesforce solutions to support global marketing and sales operations. 

  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical designs that align with Bentley’s enterprise architecture. 

  • Oversee Salesforce architecture to ensure optimal performance, maintainability, and extensibility. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders from Sales, Marketing, and IT to ensure capabilities meet business objectives. 

  • Direct integration efforts between Salesforce and other Enterprise systems (such as Marketo and Impartner), ensuring seamless data flow and process alignment. 

  • Establish and enforce development standards, configuration best practices, and platform governance. 

  • Mentor developers and solution consultants, fostering innovation and excellence. 

  • Support organizational change management, including knowledge transfer, training, and enablement sessions for key users. 

  • Drive continuous improvement through performance optimization, automation, and adoption of emerging technologies. 

  • Participate in strategic planning, roadmap development, and vendor engagements for Salesforce and Enterprise platforms. 

  • Manage the development and configuration of sales technology tools, including SFDC. 

  • Review configuration changes and validate test results from SFDC Admins before management approval for production deployment. 

  • Collaborate with Sales Operations and solution analysts to design and implement solutions for critical business needs. 

  • Gather requirements, evaluate alternatives, create specifications, estimate development hours, design technical solutions, and formulate test plans. 

  • Lead testing cycles for application enhancements and project-related improvements. 

  • Analyze master and transactional data from multiple channels, enhancing data validation, syndication, and cleanup processes. 

  • Provide thought leadership to deliver application improvements aligned with business objectives. 

  • Work with technical teams to design integrations across digital applications. 

  • Ensure role-based permissions comply with organizational standards. 

  • Partner with Sales and Data teams to design dashboards and reports in SFDC and other visualization tools. 

  • Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and recommend both short-term and long-term solutions. 

  • Develop product modifications and collaborate with software vendors for enhancements. 

  • Define and implement workaround processes, corrective actions, communication strategies, and system upgrades. 

  • Create process and systems documentation for relevant applications. 

  • Continuously expand skills and professional development through training, mentoring, and collaboration. 

  • This role may require occasional travel.   

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture, including at least 5 years specializing in Salesforce.   

  • Proven success leading large-scale Salesforce implementations across multiple business units.   

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and REST/SOAP APIs.   

  • Experience integrating Salesforce CPQ with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Workday), middleware platforms, and other key applications such as e-Stores and entitlement tools.   

  • Salesforce certifications (Application Architect, CPQ Specialist, Technical Architect) are highly preferred.   

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.   

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.   

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a customer-first mindset and proven ability to improve processes.   

  • Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and build effective partnerships with application stakeholders.   

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Engineering, or a related discipline.   

  • This role may require some travel. 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with global deployments. 

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.   

  • Knowledge of data governance, SOX compliance, and security protocols in enterprise environments.
