Software Engineer I

Position Summary

Bentley Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a talented Graphics Developer enthusiastic about leveraging bleeding-edge rendering technologies and game engines to build and maintain powerful solutions for our users.

You will join a successful team to develop the next generation of Digital Twins, working on various technologies like Unreal Engine, Unity, Omniverse, cloud computing, and WebGL, to impact the Infrastructure Engineering and Construction markets (BIM).

We will rely on you for the following:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient and reliable code and systems
• Work closely with other engineers to develop new products and features
• Research new, related technologies and contribute to evolving future generations of our products
• You will be part of our core technology team
• Share tech wisdom effectively & responsibly with other members of the technology team

What you will need to have:

• 3-5 years of industry experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Typescript and WebGL
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
• Strong 3D math skills
• Experience of graphics hardware, APIs, and shader programming
• Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language
• Self-motivated with the ability to work individually as well as part of a team
• Knowledge of Git and version control concepts

What would make you stand out:

• Knowledge of other languages like C#, TypeScript, Python, …
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development practices
• Able to analyze CPU and memory tradeoffs to optimize data transformations
• Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS/Azure/GC
