Position Summary:
Bentley Systems is seeking a talented Senior Identity Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science and at least 3 years of experience developing solutions using OAUTH, OIDC, OIDC Scopes, Federations, Multi-Factor authentication, Ping Identity, Azure AD, and other major identity platforms.
Responsibilities:

Design and develop identity solutions using OAUTH, OIDC, OIDC Scopes, Federations, Multi-Factor authentication, and other major identity platforms.

Work with cross-functional teams to integrate identity solutions into complex software systems.

Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of identity solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex identity-related issues.

Continuously improve identity solutions and processes to meet evolving business needs.

Work with engineering teams as a liaison to the Information security team, ensuring adherence to best practices and providing early security-conscious changes.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
-
Bachelor's degree in information systems, information security, computer science, or computer engineering and 4+ years of information security, networking and/or systems administration experience; or 6+ years of information security experience in lieu of a degree

2+ years of experience designing, building, implementing, integrating and/or maintaining IAM and configuration management technologies in an enterprise level environment.

Experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac system internals

Experience with SAML, OIDC, and OAuth

Strong understanding of identity and access management principles and best practices.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and integrating identity solutions into complex software systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex identity-related issues.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-
Strong written communication skills to effectively document designs, specifications, and procedures.

Cloud native development experience
-
.NET Core / .NET 6 experience

Angular / React experience
-
Command& Query Responsibility Segregation; Event Sourcing knowledge

Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Azure services

Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
