Position Summary:

As a Proposal Manager, you will oversee the development, compliance, and delivery of business proposals, working and collaborating with sales, marketing, services and delivery, legal, project support, and business development colleagues, as well as other third-party partners.

Key Role Responsibilities:

• Facilitate and moderate Go/No-Go decisions with internal stakeholders to qualify proposal opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify and allocate strategic resources to build proposal response teams.
• Analyze all proposal documentation for requirements and conditions.
• Develop proposal schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and proposal development plans.
• Define win themes and identify competitive advantages for qualified business opportunities.
• Work with proposal teams to determine author assignments and integrate win strategy, themes, and discriminators.
• Provide insight, leadership, and work guidance to authors on all proposal content.
• Lead proposal development meetings and status calls, ensuring activities adhere to the proposal development plan.
• Manage interfaces and requirements with partners and subcontractors.
• Oversee proposal quality and final delivery by performing rigorous quality assurance checks on draft and final documents.
• Conduct and document lessons learned and implement actions to improve process efficiency.

What You Bring to The Team:

• Bachelor's degree in a business or communications field. A bachelor's degree in a business field, such as business administration, project management, or marketing, will provide the candidate with the necessary foundation in business principles, project management methodologies, and marketing strategies.
  • Note: Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 5 years proposal writing experience, preferably in asset management technology.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. The candidate must be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure to ensure that proposals are submitted on time.
• Strong, proven writing and communication skills. Must have strong writing and editing skills to develop persuasive and well-written proposals that effectively communicate the value proposition of Cohesive’s products or services.
• (Desired) Management and/or leadership skills. The candidate must be able to manage and lead a team of proposal writers, contributors, and editors. The candidate must also be able to motivate and inspire teams to produce high-quality proposals.
• Ability to work independently (remotely) and as part of a team. The candidate must be able to work independently remotely to manage their own workload and meet deadlines. They must also be able to work as part of a team to collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail. The candidate must have excellent attention to detail to ensure that all proposals are accurate and error-free.
• This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, office, hybrid, or home-based in the US.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
