Position Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Technology Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vendor management practices, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to driving cost-efficiency while maintaining high-quality vendor partnerships. Your primary focus will be ensuring effective vendor selection, negotiation, contract management, and performance evaluation. This role demands strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to achieve organizational goals efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing technology procurement strategies to ensure the acquisition of high-quality technology products and services while optimizing costs and enhancing operational efficiency.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for technology-related goods and services in alignment with the organization's objectives and budgetary requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and select technology vendors and suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, and other relevant criteria through RFXs.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and delivery terms while mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and other departments, to understand technology needs and requirements.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and service levels.
- Analyze market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices to recommend improvements in procurement processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies in all procurement activities.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor partnerships, including security, compliance, and operational risks.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain or vendor services.
- Develop and maintain procurement budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular reports and analyses to management.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in vendor management processes.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present key procurement metrics and insights to stakeholders.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and programs to support the strategic technology efforts of the team.
What You Bring to The Team:
- 5-7 years of proven experience in technology procurement, vendor management, and large project/program management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of technology trends, market dynamics, and procurement best practices.
- Skilled at working collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software/tools and MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with vendor management software or tools is an advantage.
- Certification in procurement or vendor management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPM) is a plus.
- This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, remote-based or hybrid in the US.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role involves communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
- This role requires 1 trip per year to the corporate office in Exton, PA.
