Civil Resident Consultant
Location: Hybrid – based at a New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) regional office, New York, USA
Position Summary:
Are you ready to start a new journey with a team of energized professionals advancing and connecting the world’s infrastructure? Bentley Systems is looking for a Civil Resident Consultant to join our Americas Success Services team. In this role, you will work closely with Bentley on-site consultants and the NYSDOT engineering team to support civil users, drive adoption of Bentley applications, and enable digital delivery initiatives across the state. Success in this position means delivering high-quality technical support, training, and configuration while acting as a trusted advisor to both users and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide training, configuration, installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for Bentley engineering applications and CADD software
- Support transitions and upgrades between versions of Bentley Civil applications
- Act as a liaison between NYSDOT software users and Bentley’s Technical Support Group (TSG)
- Deliver technical assistance for Bentley products including OpenBridge Designer (OBD), OpenRoads Designer (ORD), MicroStation, ProjectWise, Infrastructure Cloud, and SYNCHRO
- Collaborate with user technical staff and Bentley Design Engineering teams to gather requirements
- Scope, develop, and validate workflow-based training programs
- Create and maintain learning materials
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver training plans
- Configure applications to align with standards and workflows
- Full-time role (40 hours/week), hybrid
- Use Microsoft Teams and in-person communication
- Occasional travel required
- Requires sitting or standing at will while working on a computer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or relevant experience
- 5+ years experience with OpenRoads/InRoads and MicroStation
- Strong knowledge of transportation workflows
- ProjectWise experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Passion for training and user adoption
