Bentley Systems, Inc is actively seeking a Software Engineer II within the OpenTower group. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in the development of Tower Products. If you’re passionate about solving problems and extracting valuable insights from assets by developing automated tooling/software using cutting-edge technologies, we’d love to have you on board! 

 

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include: 

  • Design and Development: Leading the design and development of complex software systems, applications, features, and tooling. 

  • Full Stack Development: Utilizing your expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies to build robust and scalable solutions. 

  • Graphics Development: Leveraging skills in graphics development to enhance the visual and interactive aspects of our products. 

  • Innovation and R&D: Exploring new technologies, evaluating emerging trends, and identifying opportunities for innovation. 

  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to align software development with business goals. 

  • Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing: Guiding junior engineers, sharing expertise, and promoting best practices. 

  • Technical Documentation and Testing: Writing technical documentation, developing unit tests, and ensuring software reliability. 

 

What You Bring to The Team: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field with 4 to 6 years of industry experience. 

  • Keen interest in product understanding, domain knowledge, and technical expertise in web, cloud, and desktop products. 

  • Ability to design and develop new features using languages and technologies such as C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Three.js, React.js, .Net Frameworks, Electron, etc. 

  • Familiar with design patterns and SOLID principles. 

  • Strong decision-making skills when weighing the pros and cons of different approaches to problems 

  • Experience in writing well-tested, well-documented code and APIs, and actively participating in code reviews. 

  • Knowledge of cloud-based development and architectures, with experience in Azure being a significant advantage. 

  • Familiarity with modern, cutting-edge technologies such as microservices, Docker, containers, Kubernetes, and AI/ML. 

  • Experience in graphics development is a plus.
