Position Summary:
The Senior Developer, ServiceNow will play a critical role in Bentley Systems’ Digital Business Enablement (DBE) team, contributing to the modernization of enterprise applications and enhancing user experience across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable ServiceNow solutions that support internal IT operations and external customer service platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for process optimization.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions to meet business requirements and enable service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize and implement systems, processes, and programs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring priorities are maintained for impact and adoption.
- Document integration processes, best practices, feedback, challenges, and FAQs for repeatable adoption success.
- Support and lead our delivery efforts through the latest Agile and DevOps practices including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and testing automation.
- Communicate the value of the ServiceNow platform in solving industry-specific challenges grounded in authentic education and technical fundamentals.
- Participate in roadmap planning, architectural input, strategic solution design, release management, and platform governance in coordination with DBE and platform leadership.
- Support incident and request queue management, including tagging, triage, and resolution strategies.
- Provide leadership to junior developers and other administrators in a mentorship capacity
What you Bring to the team:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and implementation.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow modules: ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SAM, HAM.
- Experience with scripting including Glide API, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Portal and Workspace customization using AngularJS and ServiceNow UI Framework
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, AJAX, Glidescript) and database management (SQL).
- Understanding of REST and SOAP API integrations with enterprise systems like Workday, Azure AD, Snowflake, ADO, and Salesforce.
- Experience in UI/ UX design is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and within a global team.
