Product Manager II -  Analytics and Insights

Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)

Position Overview

Bentley Systems is seeking a driven and analytical Product Manager II to join the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud organization. In this role, you will focus on shaping next‑generation insights, analytics, and intelligence capabilities that help infrastructure professionals monitor performance, predict risks, optimize workflows, and make data-driven decisions across the project lifecycle.

This position is ideal for product managers who enjoy combining customer empathy, workflow understanding, analytical thinking, and technical collaboration to deliver high‑impact cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Problem Discovery & Definition

  • Identify and define high‑value analytical and insight‑related problems by deeply understanding user pain points, workflow inefficiencies, and decision-making gaps.
  • Conduct market and competitive research related to data visualization, reporting, AI‑powered analytics, and infrastructure intelligence.
  • Translate discovery into clear problem statements, hypotheses, and user stories focused on measurable outcomes.

2. Leading Insight & Analytics Solution Development

  • Work within an empowered cross‑functional team (engineering, architects, designers, data engineers, and product experts) to build insight experiences—such as dashboards, metrics, trends, and predictive indicators—that drive meaningful action.
  • Partner with data and platform teams to leverage underlying data models, pipelines, and analytical capabilities.
  • Define value (qualitative & quantitative) and viability (business, cost, compliance) for analytics-focused features.
  • Validate early with users via prototypes, betas, and controlled rollouts.

3. Driving Intelligence Capabilities Across Bentley Infrastructure Cloud

  • Shape the vision for analytics and intelligence across Bentley Infrastructure Cloud —ranging from operational insights to project health indicators, risk analytics, user activity metrics, data quality scoring, or workflow performance insights.
  • Contribute to longer-term evolution toward automated insights, anomaly detection, or predictive capabilities aligned with Bentley’s cloud vision.

4. Cross‑Functional Alignment & Go‑to‑Market Readiness

  • Collaborate closely with Support, User Success, Sales, and Marketing to ensure teams understand new insight capabilities and their value propositions.
  • Provide product knowledge, training materials, and internal demos to enable adoption.
  • Partner with FinOps to monitor and optimize the cost footprint of analytics workloads (compute, storage, processing).

5. Outcome Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track success metrics for insight and analytics features (adoption, usage depth, decision impact, operational cost, revenue contribution, customer satisfaction).
  • Analyze product data and user patterns to validate outcomes and refine future iterations.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of dashboards, KPIs, and analytical workflows based on telemetry and customer feedback.

6. Agile Ways of Working

  • Apply lean and agile product management principles, embracing rapid experimentation and learning.
  • Encourage a fail‑fast, learn‑fast culture within the team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Academic Background: Bachelor’s / master’s degree in engineering.
  • Domain Expertise: 3+ years in Product Management, specifically within AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) software or complex enterprise SaaS.
  • Data Literacy: Deep understanding of data visualization principles. You should be comfortable discussing schema design, data warehousing, and the difference between descriptive and prescriptive analytics.
  • BI Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Understanding how to build a scalable "integration-first" product is critical.
  • Analytical Mindset: An affinity for mental models and systems thinking. You understand that in infrastructure, a "missing data point" is often as telling as a present one.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear value propositions for stakeholders in the construction and engineering sectors. Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Exposure to Project delivery, BIM, ISO 19650, digital twins, engineering workflows, or construction/asset lifecycle solutions.
  • Engineering graduates with 3–4 years of industry experience.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools, analytics systems, or cloud-native data architectures.
