Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our successful team as a Consultant for our Plant Design Modeling Advancement group who will understand business processes in plant design in capital project execution and in the operation phase of the plant. Bentley Systems is a global leader in providing architects, engineers, geospatial professionals, constructors, and owner-operators with comprehensive software solutions for advancing the design, construction, and operations of infrastructure. Responsibilities  

  • Assist the sales team in defining scope of services for implementation projects 
  • Ensure competency with Bentley plant design software capabilities as well as with plant engineering industry workflows, methods, and trend 
  • Provide OpenPlant and/or AutoPLANT consulting to include installation, configuration, troubleshooting, over-the-shoulder support and development of user specific workflows 
  • Identify, track and route issues and change requests as appropriate and develop training workshops and contribute upgrades to training course materials. 
  • Discover and document training and consulting opportunities 
  • Document client requirements and implement them in Bentley design applications 
  • Recommend best practices for plant design as it relates to Bentley products 
  • Participate in project status meetings with customers. 
  • Provide demonstrations as required and be adaptable in changing sets of responsibilities 

 

Qualifications 

  • Must have experience in Oil and Gas, Mining, Power, Petrochemicals, or related industry. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Plant Design 
  • Work experience in Mechanical Engineering or engineering degree 
  • Some experience in consulting, client solutions, services, or similar experience.   
  • Proven experience in database and software usage 
  • Strong analytical and good interpersonal skills required 
  • Experience with software implementation projects resulting in successful product deliveries desired. 
  • Prior experience with OpenPlant, AutoPLANT, Aveva PDMS or Intergraph PDS or SmartPlant 3D desired 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. 
  • Ability to work unsupervised under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent action. 
  • Proven people skills with an emphasis on teamwork. 
  • Ability to travel to customer sites is required approximately 50%
