Senior Product Manager

Date: Aug 25, 2026

Location: Philadelphia, PA, US

Company: Bentley Systems

Location: Hybrid in Philadelphia, PA 3x per week.

Position Summary:

At Bentley, our products help engineers design and operate the infrastructure the world depends on. As a Senior Product Manager focused on new product innovation, you will act as an intrapreneur, leading 0-to-1 initiatives from initial concept to successful market launch. You'll own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a net-new product—driving rapid validation, finding product-market fit, and delivering measurable value for users.

You will navigate high ambiguity, leading cross-functional teams through the critical early stages of the product lifecycle. From deep customer discovery and rapid prototyping to defining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), you will serve as the connective tissue between stakeholders, engineering, and the market. You bring deep industry awareness, a genuine curiosity about users, and the ability to translate weak market signals into a confident execution strategy.

To thrive here, you need 8+ years of experience with complex software products, a strong "founder mentality," and the communication skills to move between an agile development team and an executive sponsor without missing a beat. Experience conceptualizing AI-enhanced products is a plus. A bias toward rapid learning, iteration, and impact is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive 0-to-1 Product Development: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for new initiatives, taking them from a blank slate to a validated MVP, and through to general availability.
  • Navigate Ambiguity: Translate open-ended market problems and unmet customer needs into a clear, actionable vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Rapid Validation & Prototyping: Use lean market research and user discovery techniques to validate hypotheses quickly. Test approaches through wireframes, prototypes, and early user testing before committing to heavy engineering.
  • Find Product-Market Fit: Obsessively monitor early market feedback, adoption metrics, and user value. Be ready to pivot rapidly or iterate based on what the data and users tell you.
  • Build the MVP: Prioritize ruthlessly to define a lean MVP that delivers core value. Maintain a visible, clear, and up-to-date product backlog to keep development focused.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Work in close collaboration with engineering and design, creating clarity out of chaos, helping with prioritization, and removing roadblocks.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure strong alignment across teams by conveying the evolving development status, objectives, and connection to the broader company strategy.
  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy: Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Technical Support to design the initial launch strategy and ensure the new product has the right early-adopter support.
  • Champion Innovation: Foster a culture of user-centricity, agile learning, and a growth mindset across all teams involved in the new product's development.
  • This is a full-time, individual contributor role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or office-based in Philadelphia, PA, 3x per week.
  • This role requires communication with Managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
  • This role requires an average of 2 weeks of travel per month. Depending on business needs, this may increase or vary.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or Marketing.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of taking B2B software products from 0 to 1 (concept to initial market launch and finding product-market fit). Experience with AI-enhanced products including generative AI is preferred.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and a demonstrated ability to translate complex, undefined problems into clear narratives, decisions, and actionable plans.
  • Deep expertise in lean product management practices, customer discovery frameworks, and rapid prototyping.
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive with experience operating in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within a larger enterprise.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers on co-innovation, discovery, advisory boards, or beta/early-adopter programs.
  • Demonstrated success executing greenfield market analysis, development of new value propositions, and zero-based roadmap prioritization.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional execution across development, UX, QA, documentation, marketing, sales, and customer success without formal authority.
  • Experience influencing and measuring early-stage business results such as initial adoption rates, user engagement, and early customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with conceptualizing and validating cloud‑enabled, interoperable, or AI‑assisted software solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to pitch new ideas to executive leadership and speak comfortably to large audiences of technical professionals.
  • Ability to analyze early usage datasets and qualitative feedback to generate actionable insights that shape the product's direction.
