Date: May 1, 2026
Location: Philadelphia, PA, US
Company: Bentley Systems
Location: Preference for hybrid in Philadelphia, PA, United States. Open to considering home-based colleagues throughout the United States.
Position Summary:
At Bentley, our products help engineers design and operate the infrastructure the world depends on. As a Senior Product Manager, you'll own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more products in our portfolio — driving measurable value for users while staying tightly aligned to business goals.
You'll lead cross-functional teams through the full product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and beyond, serving as the connective tissue between stakeholders, engineering, and the market. You bring deep industry awareness and a genuine curiosity about users with an ability to translate competitive signals and customer needs into a product direction teams can execute against with confidence.
To thrive here, you'll need 8+ years of experience with complex software products, strong leadership through influence, and communication skills to move between a development team and an executive sponsor without missing a beat. Experience with AI-enhanced products is a plus. A growth mindset and a bias toward impact are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial discovery to production, and beyond
- Develop and maintain a vision, strategy and roadmap for the product as the critical foundations to ensure that all stakeholders have a common understanding of the path forward.
- Use the right market research and user discovery techniques to define the right product to build and validate the approach to implementation through prototypes and user testing.
- Maintain product direction and priorities aligned with the broader business goals.
- Work in close collaboration with all team members, supporting their work by creating clarity, helping with prioritization and removing roadblocks.
- Make sure that alignment of all teams stays strong by conveying current development status, objectives and connection to product roadmap and overall company strategy.
- Work with the team to make sure that product backlog is visible, clear and up to date.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Technical Support and other stakeholder groups to ensure that products are launched seamlessly and have ongoing support.
- Actively seek feedback from teams and stakeholders to enrich teamwork and solid product strategy.
- Use monitoring and tracking tools to understand how the product performs on the market and how users get value from it.
- Keep an eye on the industry and its influence on the development of the product. Be ready to steer or pivot as necessary.
- Champion and foster a culture of user-centricity, collaboration and growth mindset at all times across all teams and stakeholders involved in the development and running of the product.
- This is a full-time, individual contributor role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or office-based in Philadelphia, PA.
- This role requires communication with Managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
- This role requires an average of 2 weeks of travel per month. Depending on business needs, this may increase or vary.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or Marketing.
- 8+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, business strategy, or a closely related role driving outcomes for B2B software or technology products. Experience with AI-enhanced products including generative AI is preferred.
- Knowledge of product management practices and frameworks that can be applied to different situations and phases of the product lifecycle.
- A growth mindset approach, actively seeking feedback and learning opportunities to overcome challenges.
- Demonstrated track record of taking a B2B software product or platform from concept through to successful market launch or re-launching a product to market.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers — including discovery, advisory boards, QBRs, or beta programs.
- Demonstrated success executing market/competitive analysis, customer discovery, development of value propositions, and product roadmap prioritization.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional execution across development, UX, QA, documentation, marketing, sales, and customer success.
- Experience influencing and measuring business results such as ARR growth, product adoption, and customer retention and satisfaction.
- Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear narratives, decisions, and actionable plans.
- Experience modernizing or evolving legacy software platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud‑enabled, interoperable, or AI‑assisted software solutions.
- Proven track record of managing complex, high-impact projects with strict deadlines and high expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex subjects to non-experts and communicate ideas effectively to executive leadership. Comfortable speaking to large audiences of technical professionals.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets to generate actionable insights that improve products and features.
