Product Success Consultant

Are you ready to start a new journey with a team of energized professionals advancing and connecting the world’s infrastructure? Bentley is looking for you! We are seeking a talented engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team and contribute to the development, implementation and use of our OpenFlows product line for water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure modeling. This role interfaces with users, as well as Bentley colleagues in sales, marketing, product development, support and implementation to provide demonstrations, training, support and other services. You will collaborate with our development team and partners, lending your knowledge of water/wastewater utility operations and analytical expertise to help update existing software products and develop new technologies for utility owner/operators.


Location: This role will be virtually-connected from a home office located in the United States.



  • Develop and deliver training materials related to engineering workflows, specifically oriented towards the application of relevant solutions/software tools. Training delivery will be a mix of virtual and on-site – travel will be a requirement.
  • Ensure that the customer is effectively using our solutions and is satisfied with those products and services.
  • Encourage prompt adoption of the latest software versions and use of new functionality.
  • Provide technical application support to internal colleagues, technology partners and external users. Answer complex questions on product use and implementation and provide guidance on which Bentley features/technologies best meet needs.
  • Research, collaborate and advise on hydraulic modeling, asset management, and infrastructure digital twin best practices.
  • Provide billable professional services consulting, which may include initial solution installation, programming, implementation, customization, integration and customer orientation.
  • Work with colleagues and partner organizations that specialize in water and wastewater engineering technology solutions to identify ways to expand solution functionality to better meet user needs.
  • Consult with sales colleagues and current and prospective users to understand their needs and recommend appropriate Bentley solutions. Convey user feedback to product management and development staff.
  • Deliver technical sales presentations and demonstrations on solution/software. Provide details on solution capabilities in response to customer Requests For Proposal.
  • Attend, present and/or exhibit at industry conferences.
  • Assist in the development of technical content for marketing materials.


What You Bring To The Team:

  • Strong knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic design principles, projects and local country's policies and procedures in this field. Hands-on experience with hydraulic modeling software like WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, EPANET or SWMM is desired.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, hydraulic and water resource engineering, environmental engineering, or related field is preferred.  Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in water distribution or sewer collection system operation, design and/or capital improvement planning.
  • Experience with ESRI GIS data models and databases.
  • Database experience with Access, SQL, CCTV (Access), etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Strong analytical and customer relationship skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret user business needs and translate them into the application and operational requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to work under the pressures of deadlines. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and balance the time and effort between those projects.
  • Ability to lead/influence design workshops within an existing solution framework.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent action.
  • Experience with office productivity tools, multiple web browsers, online communication tools.
