About the Role 

Are you passionate about making complex topics easy to understand? Do you have a knack for storytelling and a growing interest in cybersecurity? Do you enjoy testing AI agents and exploring new tools? We are seeking a hardworking, gritty, Information Security Communications Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with our security communications manager to help translate technical security concepts into clear, engaging, and actionable content for employees across the organization. Your work will be crucial in building a strong security culture and helping to protect our company from cyber threats. You will get hands on experience with various infosec tools, enterprise AI, and more to help launch you into a future career within infosec. 

What You'll Do 

Assist in drafting, editing, and distributing security awareness content, including newsletters, intranet articles, and company-wide emails. Get hands on experience with Bentley’s infosec stack including but not limited to Upguard, Auditboard, Wiz, Conveyor, Blackcloak, CYGNVS and more. Support the management of our security communications calendar to ensure timely and relevant messaging. Learn to analyze and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns by tracking key metrics. Assist in organizing and promoting security-focused events, webinars, and training sessions. Collaborate with technical security experts and executives to simplify complex information for a non-technical audience. Support key infosec certification programs such as ISO27001 and FEDramp Assist in testing infosec comms AI agents for implementation and production  Monitor and improve Infosec training and awareness program 

Who You Are 

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Communications, Cybersecurity, or a related field. An exceptional writer and editor with strong verbal communication skills. A creative thinker who can transform technical jargon into compelling stories. Eager to learn and passionate about cybersecurity. Fast learner with a passion for learning new technologies A basic understanding of fundamental information security concepts. Comfortably and fluid using new AI technologies such as Copilot, Agentspace, Gemini, etc 

Preferred Qualifications 

Previous internship or experience in a communications, infosec, or IT role. Comfortable building, testing, and utilizing AI/AI Agents. Ability to work in an “extended internship” beyond a traditional 2-month setting.
