Position Summary

We are looking for a high-energy, driven professional with sound business acumen, excellent communication skills, and natural sales instincts to join our Bentley’s Digital Cities Acceleration group. Ideal candidates should be eager to position, promote and sell City Infrastructure Digital Twin solutions to (local) governments in your region. You will have experience researching market trends, solidifying relationships at C-level in (local) governments and using proven methods to position new and innovative services to targeted users. You must be capable of working independently, thinking strategically, and having fun along the way!

  • Plan, develop and oversee the regional business development strategy for City Infrastructure Digital Twin solutions.
  • Develop important and influential (C-Level) relationships within prospective (local) government organizations by translating user challenges and opportunities into unique business value.
  • Understand the target government markets, including its ecosystem of engineering firms, local partners, and other suppliers.
  • Collaborate with development and marketing teams to position our City Infrastructure Digital Twin solutions to target users.
  • Engage with strategic partners to educate them on potential value and develop and execute a joint strategy.
  • Attend and present at conferences and industry events.
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate competitors.
  • Provide feedback to the product team on regional needs.
  • Create a great first impression to our prospects and users by providing them with innovative, world class experiences
  • Research existing accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement.
  • Develop and execute an effective field sales strategy & plan and build a strong pipeline through prospecting and lead generation.
  • Understand target clients' business needs, perform demonstrations, develop proposals.
  • ROI exercises and articulate our value proposition through all steps of the sales cycle.
  • Strong presentation skills, able to construct and deliver internal/external presentations effectively and professionally.
  • Consistently challenge the status quo in pursuit of best-in-class performance.
  • Provide clear and concise communication of activities and accurately forecast business.
  • Meet all goals set for region you are responsible for.


Required Knowledge, Skills or Abilities

  • A minimum of 5 years of high-engagement-business development experience within Technology implementation and systems integration.
  • As a master in consultative selling, you are used to analyzing complex requirements, tailoring answers to user needs, advising on business case development and managing the entire sales process and negotiating offers.
  • Proven ability to negotiate at C-level.
  • You are highly organized and are used to quarterly forecasting and reporting.
  • You have a strong sense of urgency.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and changing environment.
  • You have a real entrepreneurial mindset, you are self-driven, passionate and you love to work independently, whilst being a strong team player who is willing to pitch in to assist in any situation, to the benefit of your team and our users.
