APPLICATION ENGINEER

Position Summary :

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our successful iTwin Capture team as an Application Engineer.  An Application Engineer plays an important role assisting the sales team with technical presentations, delivering consulting and project services, supporting our users with their requests, and delivering product training to advance user knowledge of our products.

Location: Australia (remote/ hybrid/ office)

Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team by delivering technical demonstrations and presentations of the iTwin Capture solution.

• Deliver consulting, configuration, and training services on Bentley’s iTwin Capture solution to existing and new software users.

• Provide support and services toward the migration of our software users to iTwin Capture solution specifically OrbitGT and ContextCapture.

• Assist in preparation of technical proposals and benchmarks.

• Perform software product training activities, project assessments and reviews.  

• Collaborate with product development groups to continually improve the quality of the product based on user input.

• Serve as the primary liaison between company and software users.

• Answering user requests over the phone, email and web portal.

• Create learning content in the form of written documentation, videos and webinars for our products.

Qualifications

• Survey and Mapping degree or equivalent.

• A strong knowledge and track record in 3D mapping workflows is desired.

• Minimum 2 year's industry experience in a 3D mapping role is preferred.

• Ability to travel domestically will be needed on occasions.

• Experience with the following Bentley software is preferred: OrbitGT, ContextCapture and Descartes.  Experience with other related industry reality capture software such as, TopoDOT Leica CloudWorx, Pointerra is beneficial.

• Fluency in English is required.  Fluency in German and/or French is desired but not required.

• Knowledge of photogrammetry and engineering design is beneficial.

• Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong user facing skills

• Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate, configure, and consult on the Bentley OrbitGT and ContextCapture solutions.

• Ability to work on significant professional services projects with little supervision and lead others when needed.

• Experience with and knowledge of mobile mapping capture, analysis and consumption workflows.
