Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Commercial Engagement, the Sales Specialist plays a key role in encouraging our previous users to return to our SELECT program. SELECT is the yearly maintenance package sold with perpetual licenses. You will be responsible for the entire buyer journey from lead development to deal close. This is a key position to begin creating a new relationship with our previous users, along with undertaking activities to support the development and management of the sales pipeline within your assigned region.

This position is critical to the expansion of the Bentley portfolio into our existing user base, along with identifying and pursuing opportunities where you may be able to position a newer licensing model or alternative design solution.

You will be working in an outbound fashion where the skills to create a pipeline from scratch are key to success. The ability to be assertive, amiable, and analytical will play a vital role in your day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, quota-driven, sales environment and have previous experience in B2B sales.

 Your Day-to-Day:

  • Research potential prospects to produce qualified leads as per the defined Sales Process.
  • Creating & driving lead and opportunity generation activities within the region.
  • Working towards quota by applying all relevant sales methodologies to consistently close deals in your assigned region
  • Supporting adoption and compliance of the required Sales and Opportunity Management Process.
  • Sales-related admin functions as directed by your assigned manager.
  • Have a strong desire and high level of commitment to ensuring your assigned sales team meets defined sales goals.
  • Maintain a high knowledge of Bentley’s current commercial programs, offerings, and products.

 What You Bring to The Team:  

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with a software company in Inside Sales, and/or Customer Service, with a flair for communicating with accounts and maximizing the account’s outcomes and Bentley’s revenue.
  • A pleasant non-intrusive manner, positive attitude, eye for detail, resourceful and inquisitive.
  • Self-starter, driven and accountable. 
  • Proven understanding of multiple sales methodologies such as the Challenger sale and SPIN selling, among others.
  • Excellent English language and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present value to information to users and prospects via phone and web.
  • Excellent cross-collaboration skills with various internal departments.
  • Proven ability to manage a sales cycle from lead to close
