Maximo Consultant I

Location: Madrid, Spain or Spain (Hybrid, Remote) 

20% travel is expected 

Position Summary

A new position has opened for a Maximo Consultant to join our growing team in Spain. In this role, you will align with business and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into best-practice processes and functional specifications.  

You will work on complex challenges, utilizing and developing your technical skills on both client and internal projects, owning the quality of our project work and ensure communication flows smoothly within the team. You'll also step in as a trusted expert, advising clients on how to get the most out of their Enterprise Asset Management systems. 

Responsibilities 

• Assess current client in understanding Asset Management, Work Management, Inventory and Purchasing processes and KPIs 

• System configuration including workflows, domains, and escalation setups 

• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into Maximo solutions

• Facilitate client workshops, create system documentation and training materials, and educate clients on asset management best practices

• Support the technical delivery of projects, including data coordination, testing, deployment, and ongoing issue tracking and support 

• Assist with client training and system demonstrations, and contribute to internal process improvements and pre-sales activities under the guidance of senior consultants. 

Qualifications 

• Degree and / or Higher National qualifications related to Engineering or Information Management or Computer Science 

• • Desirable: IBM Maximo 7.6 certifications or MAS certifications 

• Around 2 - 3 years of experience in IBM Maximo projects. 

• Experience with Maximo 7.6 and, ideally, Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8.x, MAS 9.x) 

• Knowledge of Maximo security groups, users, and access control configuration. 

• Experience in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Service Management, or Facility Management 

• Experience in SQL and database management (Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server) 

• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) 

• Business acumen with the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions 

• Client-facing experience with the ability to support trainings, data loads, and requirements analysis 

• Business level Spanish – written & spoken
