Position Summary:
Bentley is undergoing an ambitious transformation to accelerate growth, drive innovation, and reinforce our leadership in infrastructure engineering software. To help shape and deliver this transformation, we are looking for a Strategy Manager to join our Strategy & Transformation team, Bentley’s internal think tank that partners directly with the Executive Leadership Team to tackle the company’s most critical challenges.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives spanning growth strategy, go-to-market design, M&A, product innovation, and organizational transformation. You’ll collaborate with senior executives and functional leaders to define strategic priorities, design solutions, and drive execution across the global business.
Responsibilities
• Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives across key domains including growth, product, M&A, go-to-market, and organizational effectiveness
• Partner with senior leaders to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and measurable business outcomes
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation and adoption of strategic initiatives
• Support executive decision-making through rigorous analysis, market insights, and scenario modelling
• Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Finance, Market Intelligence, Voice of the Customer) to synthesize customer, market, and competitor insights
• Contribute to key corporate processes such as business reviews and strategic planning
• Identify opportunities to accelerate impact and improve strategic execution
• Limited travel (<10%) to Bentley offices to lead or support strategy workshops
Qualifications
• Experience in a leading strategy consulting firm or equivalent background in corporate strategy, investment banking, or strategic planning within a global organization
• 5–7 years of total professional experience; advanced degree preferred
• Proven ability to structure and solve complex strategic problems, with strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Proficiency with advanced analytical tools (e.g., Excel modelling, SQL, Power BI) desirable but not mandatory
• Strong communicator able to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable recommendations for senior audiences
• Self-starter with a collaborative yet decisive approach and strong leadership presence
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience in AEC or infrastructure-related industries helpful but not required
