Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Resource Manager to join our Project Management Office team coordinating the resourcing requirements of our projects, focussing on the strategic resourcing needs of the EMEA region. This role will also lead on resolving resource challenges, providing ongoing support to Project Managers and Service Directors, and collaborating on resource needs and availability with multiple teams within our organisation.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you should possess extensive knowledge and management experience specifically related to resource allocation and ideally have experience in a professional services organisation. A first-class Resource Manager will be someone who can accurately assess resource needs, identify shortages and manage existing capacity to realise projects' goals.

The role is key to ensuring that our projects are properly resourced, monitored, and managed within our Resource Management System.  This will require ongoing monitoring and support to changes to resource requirements throughout any project and will require consistency in how our resourcing is set up and monitored so that this data is accurate and fit for purpose.  

There will be no standard day-to-day agenda. The role will require a highly adaptive person who can work remotely and at Cohesive offices as required to meet the needs of Cohesive assignments.

 

Key Role Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills, experience and capabilities as follows:

  • Manage resourcing in a professional services organisation
  • Ability to unlock process challenges and problem solve
  • Be able to advise on process improvement opportunities
  • Resource Management knowledge and expertise
  • Knowledge of resource forecasting
  • Knowledge of technology and service solutions, in particular Maximo
  • Ability to monitor and maximise utilisation of resources
  • Ability to analyse resource data to determine future requirements
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate internally with our team, within Cohesive and externally with our external resourcing partners

 

What You Bring to The Team:

Knowledge/Experience

  • Ideally min 5 years' of Management experience with at least 3 year in Resource Management (or similar).
  • Ability to work on own initiative, but also seek advice and support when required
  • Good communicator with high standard of written communication, verbal, and numerical reasoning skills
  • Ability to work with large data sets with good problem-solving skills and ability to apply commercial and strategic awareness to problem solving
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to manage resource allocation and optimisation across multiple projects at the same time
  • A team player with proven experience working as part of an open, collaborative team
  • Organised, with a logical and methodical approach and a good eye for detail
  • Computer literate and Business Systems aware
  • Be aware of and adhere to the control processes set out within Cohesive’s Certified Management System.
