Travel will be expected around 25% a month to client sites in EMEA and to our London office 

  

 

Position Summary: 

Bentley Asset Operate Services (Bentley AOS) provides professional services to users of the Bentley AssetWise software suite used by our customers within the infrastructure asset space. A new position has opened for a talented Project Manager to work across the Bentley AssetWise group of products; AssetWise ALIM, AssetWise Reliability, AssetWise Linear Analytics, AssetWise 4D Analytics and AssetWise Linear Network Management. 

The Project Manager’s primary duty will be to handle all the day-to-day project management responsibilities associated with the delivery of various products and services, working closely with our customers and internal team of consultants to ensure projects are running on time and to budget. 

 

The Project Manager will be working across various product domains where they will translate/ manage the customer expectations, assemble the project team, identify the required resources and develop the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project. They will ensure adherence to quality standards and internal Bentley methodologies to result in the overall success and experience of the customers and projects.   

 

This role reports to an AssetWise Services Director/Manager for EMEA supporting colleagues, teams and projects spread throughout EMEA.    

 

 

Your Day-to-Day: 

  • Prepare project scope (how the project will be managed, assumptions, dependencies and constraints), execution plans and costing for services components of all proposals including the necessary MS Project plan – if asked to participate in proposal phase. 

  • Manage all projects achieving baseline man‐hour estimate, excluding contingency, plus approved/agreed EAC changes and are on or ahead of baseline schedule (including approved schedule changes). 

  • Define the resources needed to effectively execute the project. 

  • Ensure proper and regular use and maintenance of the Enterprise Project Management & Professional Services Automation tools and data. 

  • Agree project success and acceptance criteria with all involved parties. 

  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using change management procedures. 

  • Manage stakeholders through effectively communicating project plans, progress, expectations, risks, assumptions and dependencies in a timely and clear fashion throughout the project. 

  • Identify and manage risks through mitigation and contingency planning. 

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team and escalate as required. 

  • Ensure that revenue forecasts are updated weekly for all active projects for a rolling 3‐month period minimum. 

  • Review, manage and approve timesheets, travel requests, and expense reports for project team members. This includes the timely submittal of travel requests, time entries and expense reports for project managers. 

  • Provide accurate support for all invoicing, checking the invoices are correct before sending to the user; perform accurate revenue recognition (accruals/release from deferral). 

  • Provide a smooth transition to software technical support upon completion of product roll‐out at user site. 

  • Conduct project lessons learned and post appropriate items to the knowledge repository. 

  

 

What You Bring to The Team: 

  • 3 to 5 years Project Management experience from software implementation/ delivery using Agile/ Waterfall methodologies  

    • Experience with asset infrastructure design/construct/operate projects is a huge advantage to the role. 

  • Certifications in either Prince2 or PMI 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Infrastructure Engineering or a related field 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Strong relationship management skills to build rapport with external customers and internal stakeholders to recognize their concerns and outcomes required 

  • A team player who can communicate effectively among a diverse work team in multiple locations. Confident in dealing with a cross functional team from technical experts, sales, engineers and senior management  

  • Experience of presenting and interpreting complex information with enterprise customers 

  • Planning, Prioritizing, and Goal Setting: Able to prepare for emerging customer needs; manage multiple projects; determine project urgency in a meaningful and practical way; use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans; organize and schedule people and tasks.
