Position Summary:


Bentley Systems seeks a talented individual to serve as Business Development Manager with our Strategic Partnership Team. The individual fulfilling this position will be responsible for managing and expanding the relationship with Microsoft in the assigned region by directing and supporting collaborative sales and marketing efforts.


The Business Development Manager actively collaborates with Bentley Sales team members to establish and expand relationships between Bentley Sales colleagues and Microsoft Sales colleagues to grow Bentley’s revenues based on the partnership.


This position carries a Quota and Objectives appropriate to the territory assigned.  If you are a successful, dynamic sales professional with a proven track record in the industry, we should talk.  You must be capable of working independently, thinking strategically and having fun along the way!


An ideal opportunity for a self-starter, the Business Development Manager will develop and implement business plans to grow sales opportunities while managing all aspects of the partnership within the assigned territory.


Your Day-to-Day:


  • Establish and maintain connection with appropriate Microsoft resources throughout the region
  • Micrsoft sales and marketing organization
  • Micrsoft partner organization
  • Micrsoft channel management organization
  • Micrsoft product groups (as appropriate)
  • Connect Bentley account teams and Microsoft account teams for shared opportunities.
  • Review and maintain opportunity data shared via the Microsoft Partner Sales Connect portal.
  • Conducting periodic pipeline review calls with appropriate Microsoft counterparts and Bentley sales directors for visibility into the shared pipeline of opportunities.
  • Participate in Microsoft events in the region to promote Bentley solutions.
  • Support Bentley events by recruiting Microsoft speakers and/or recruiting attendees through Microsoft.
  • Collaborating and communicating with various internal Bentley business units.
  • Attending appropriate industry conferences and tradeshows & keeping current on industry/ market business and software solution trends.
  • Developing and delivering thought leadership presentations at industry events and seminars.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.


What You Bring To The Team:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years industry sales experience, channel management or strategic alliance management experience, or equivalent
  • Excellent track record of establishing strong internal/external relationships and meeting/exceeding yearly quota
  • Experience developing, executing sales plans and delivering sales and marketing presentations from the C level to the department level to clients.
  • Experience working across multiple countries in the region
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Capacity to interact effectively and professionally with broad spectrum of diverse employees, customers and partners
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives on sales strategies and coordinating partner activities
  • Experience with CRM systems as well as Microsoft Office is required
  • Knowledge or experience with Asset Management, BIM, Project Collaboration, and similar technologies are desirable.
