Senior Quality Analyst

Location: Iasi, Romania (Hybrid)

Position Summary

The Senior Quality Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Bentley’s software products. This role focuses on validating software across both pre‑release and released states through structured testing, continuous monitoring, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. The successful candidate will contribute to defining test strategies, executing comprehensive test coverage, and driving continuous improvements to product quality and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and design documentation.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and end‑to‑end testing across multiple product areas.
• Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Identify, log, track, and manage software defects throughout the full defect lifecycle.
• Validate and reproduce customer‑reported issues, ensuring accurate diagnosis and timely resolution.
• Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to uphold high quality standards.
• Provide product‑related insights and support to internal teams (e.g., Sales, Support) when required.
• Continuously build expertise in Bentley’s Civil product portfolio and related technologies.
• Proactively recommend process, tooling, or product improvements to enhance quality, stability, and usability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with 7+ years of experience in bridge design using Bentley and/or comparable engineering software
  OR
  5+ years of experience in testing bridge design and/or structural analysis software.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Good understanding of 2D/3D geometry, engineering concepts, and mathematical fundamentals.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Bentley products such as MicroStation, ProjectWise, OpenRail, OpenBridge, and OpenTunnel.
• Experience working in or supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience or working knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
