Senior Accounting Assistant

Position Summary:

 

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Assistant to join our global finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, taking a leading role in our cash allocation and reconciliation processes. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of global cash operations, working closely with teams across Europe, the United States, and India. You will support month-end closing activities, help resolve complex issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our accounting processes. This position reports to the Manager, Accounting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process global bank statements, ensuring accurate allocation of incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations, maintaining a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Execute month-end closing procedures and ensure completeness of cash-related entries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to obtain and clarify information on unidentified payments.
  • Manage and resolve critical issues related to customer accounts, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Partner with colleagues worldwide through Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms to ensure alignment and efficiency.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy, automation, and reporting quality.

 

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on bank reconciliation and cash application.
  • Experience with Workday or another cloud-based ERP system is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience and/or training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and eager to contribute to a supportive global team.
