Position Summary:
Depending on Bentley’s ERP Transformation journey, this is a temporary position for 1-2 years. This position has significant interaction across the Bentley organization such as, the Corporate Finance Team in Exton, Pennsylvania, regional finance and business leads and executive management and will report into the Senior Finance Manager EMEA and LATAM.
The successful candidate is an ambitious leader and team player alike, has a solid technical accounting background in US GAAP and IFRS, is experienced with control requirements of publicly traded companies, brings strong interpersonal and communication skills and will enjoy working in the multicultural environment of a global tech leader.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Oversee the group and statutory financial reporting closing process, ensure compliance with group (US GAAP and IFRS) and statutory accounting policies, as applicable.
- Prepare calculations and reconciliations and post related journal entries for incentives and leases for Bentley globally (IFRS and US GAAP).
- Responsible for preparing, reviewing and/or arranging for the timely submission of all VAT returns together with other VAT compliance related matters (e.g. Intrastats, EC Sales Lists) for the European entities.
- Review VAT transactions for accuracy. Collaborate with the business and accounts payable group as to the proper VAT accounting on purchases. Pursue a data quality culture of right source and minimal corrections.
- Perform/oversee monthly financial and accounting analysis.
- Preparing the annual statutory accounts.
- Oversee statutory and other filing compliance aspects within the assigned region.
- Partner with Tax, Legal and Treasury on cash distribution opportunities.
- Assist with ad hoc inquiries.
What You Bring to The Team:
- University or higher education degree in business accounting or Economy.
- Thorough understanding of international accounting and reporting requirements (IFRS and US GAAP).
- Thorough understanding of financial control requirements, such as SOX 404 requirements in the US.
- A minimum of 6 years-experience in accounting, reporting or audit; preferably gained in one of the Big-4 auditing firms.
- Experience in leading teams in a multicultural environment.
- Can-do, role-up-your-sleeves attitude.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills; fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Software technology industry preferred, but not required
- SAP knowledge preferred, but not required
