Position Summary:
The successful candidate will have proven experience and successful track record as a project manager for large scale software implementations. The Senior Project Manager will work directly with a cross-functional consultant team and the client PMO to effectively manage project risks, schedule, budget and quality for Cohesive, at Bentley Systems.
Cohesive is the world’s leading Maximo Implementor, with colleagues spread across 22 offices, as well as remote colleagues globally. This role will be accountable for the overall delivery of the project to the client, and will equip their team with the tools to succeed and evolve throughout the software development lifecycle. This position will report to a Manager within the Cohesive Services Delivery team.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Manager performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:

Formulate scope of complex projects in collaboration with the client, Cohesive senior management and sales representatives.

Collaborate with Account Managers to own the overall client relationship and serve as a point of escalation for resolving project and/or client related issues.

Lead roadmap discussions with client and offer strategic solutions to grow the overall Cohesive services footprint.

Collaborate with solution architects, functional and technical subject matter experts, as well as the client to develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities identified.

Develop project repositories in SharePoint, set up and manage forms and records to document project activities.

Establish communication and risk mitigation plans, gather and assess information from the project team and update all stakeholders on the progress of the project as needed.

Execute the project as per plan and manage/mitigate risks effectively throughout the duration of the project.

Manage the overall performance of the project team, and collaborate with the Cohesive line managers for consultants on the project team to provide feedback, address issues or knowledge gaps, and support the development of resources.

Forecast, monitor and manage budgeted and actual project costs.

Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.

Provide coaching, feedback, and career guidance to junior and intermediate Project Managers and team members.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline, or equivalent training and experience.

Strong time management, organizational and leadership skills are extremely essential for success in this role.

Strong financial management skills to ensure fiscal responsibility, assist with budget escalations, invoice tracking, and refine budgets as needed.

At least ten (10) years of previous project management experience and familiarity with the software development lifecycle.

Experience managing large scale / complex projects using Waterfall, Agile and/or Hybrid project management methodologies.

Project Management related certification (such as but not limited to a PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM etc.) are preferred.

Very Strong customer service skills are essential, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust with clients, and handle inquiries or challenges with professionalism and care.

Extremely proficient in use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint).

A working knowledge of IBM Maximo or other Enterprise Asset Management software is preferred.

This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid or home-based in Canada.

Required sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.

This position may require some travel to client site, depending on project requirements. Travel, if required, will be limited to a maximum of 50% a year.
