About the Role
Are you ready to start a new journey with a team of energized professionals advancing the world’s infrastructure? Bentley is looking for a Front-end Engineer who is not only technically strong but also demonstrates ownership, accountability, and care for their work.
In this role, you will contribute beyond task execution—actively participating in shaping requirements, making thoughtful technical decisions, and collaborating closely with product and engineering peers. We value engineers who care deeply about quality, maintainability, and long-term impact.
You will be part of a software development group delivering industry‑leading solutions that support the full lifecycle of infrastructure assets. Your work will directly contribute to Bentley’s mission of advancing the global economy and environment through innovative software and services.
Working closely with Development and Product Managers, you will take responsibility for the design, implementation, testing, and support of product features, core components, and Azure‑based cloud services.
Responsibilities:
- System Design: Contribute to feature definition and design with a focus on stability, usability, security, and maintainability.
- Implementation: Build high‑quality solutions using modern development tools and best practices.
- Maintenance & Support: Maintain existing codebases and collaborate with support teams when needed.
- Testing: Write and maintain unit tests to ensure quality and coverage of key use cases.
- DevOps: Follow DevOps practices from design through delivery.
- CI/CD: Develop and work with fully automated CI/CD pipelines to production.
- Continuous Improvement: Learn and apply modern technologies, patterns, and secure development practices.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with other teams whose services we consume or who depend on ours.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React, with solid modern front‑end development practices.
- Experience working in Scrum / Agile environments.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, efficient, and secure code.
- Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks, data structures, and OOP.
- Understanding of short‑ and long‑term implications of technical decisions.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Self‑driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Electron applications.
- Experience working with SQLite.
- Familiarity with functional programming concepts.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
