Bentley Systems is seeking a Senior Identity & Access Management Engineer to become a valued member of our successful team located in our Huntsville, AL or Exton, PA offices. The Sr. Identity & Access Management Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining the Identity & Access Management program, architecture and standards for delivering Identity, Access, Directory and Authentication Services for consumers of Bentley Cloud Services with the capability to support cloud and on-premise application services. This person will participate as an effective member of a passionate, highly skilled, collaborative team that supports Bentley Information Security policies and meets all relevant compliance requirements.



  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with Bentley Information Security requirements.
  • Participates in the enhancement process for the Identity Access Management (IAM) program.
  • Leads program design review working directly with customers and business owners on the integration requirements including provisioning, de-provisioning and user lifecycle into the IAM platform.
  • Works with vendors and partners to develop and manage program.
  • Leads the team in maintaining and assessing operational requirements and service issues for improvement opportunities.
  • Develops strategic road maps for the Identity Management systems and program.
  • Develops enterprise wide standards for identity and access management.
  • Consult with business units when implementing access levels for new systems.
  • Leads the team in creating and maintaining the architecture for IAM systems.
  • Reviews and approves documentation prior to releasing it to auditors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business or equivalent work or educational experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in creating and maintaining an identity and access management program
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern Identity & Access Management concepts and best practices
  • Demonstrated understanding in formulating strategies, alternatives and recommendations in Information Security management
  • Ability to evaluate risk and communicate it in a fact-based manner
  • Strong negotiation and people skills
  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills)
  • Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate in the English language.
  • Occasional availability for an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.
