Position Summary: 

 

Bentley is seeking a Senior Global Benefits Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced, high-growth organization. You will design, optimize and implement global benefit programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent across our global operations.  

 

This role requires a strategic leader to work with regional HR teams and key stakeholders to harmonize global benefits over time while maintaining local in-countries competitiveness and compliance. The incumbent will establish a clear vision for benefits programs while remaining hands-on, managing intricate details and addressing complex issues to ensure successful execution.  

 

This role does have immediate leadership and oversight for North American benefits programs, serving almost 1,500 employees in the US. The right candidate will have deep expertise in US benefits, working closely with the North American Benefits Manager, regional teams, vendors and partners, and other stakeholders across the organization to ensure US benefit programs including 401(k), Medical, Rx, HSA, Dental, Life, Disability, FSA, Education Assistance, EAP, Voluntary Benefits are implemented appropriately to ensure competitiveness and compliance. 

 

Role Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for global employee benefits, ensuring alignment with company goals and competitive positioning across diverse markets.  

  • Design innovative benefit programs that meet the varying needs of our global workforce, including health and wellness initiatives, retirement plans, life and disability insurance and other ancillary benefits.  

  • Collaborate with stakeholders including regional HR, Legal, Finance, and the business to oversee the harmonization and centralization of global benefits outside of North America. 

  • Oversee operations and administration of all North American benefit programs, including in the US: 401(k), Medical, Rx, HSA, Dental, Life, Disability, FSA, Education Assistance, EAP, Voluntary Benefits etc. 

  • In the US, maintain compliance with government requirements, including: ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, OSHA, and PPACA 

  • Provide thought leadership and function as the subject matter expert in all benefits related topics.  

  • Conduct regular market assessments and benchmarking studies to keep abreast of industry trends and competitive practices, comparing with our existing programs and providing recommendations. 

  • Assess, optimize and partner with external vendors, brokers, and consultants to negotiate contracts, manage relationships and ensure high-quality delivery of services and initiatives.  

  • Develop and maintain the global benefits budget, track expenses and ensure a cost-effective program management maintaining program quality and competitiveness.  

  • Ensure all benefit programs comply with local laws and regulations, working closely with legal and compliance teams.  

  • Oversee global renewal, open enrollment and communication process and monitor the effectiveness of existing programs.  

  • Participate/lead in benefits committees as it may be required from time to time in different countries to comply with local regulations.  

  • Create and oversee a comprehensive communication plan to effectively educate and engage employees about benefit offerings and changes. Work closely with the HR community in the communication process. 

  • Work with the Colleague Services teams and HRIS teams to ensure a world class employee experience.  

  • Member of the core Total Rewards team and key contributor to the global rewards strategy.  
     

Role Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or comparable experience; advanced degree or professional certification preferred (e.g. CEBS, GPHR) 

  • 8-10 years of experience in global benefits management and design with a focus on U.S. benefits. 

  • Ability to develop a global long-term benefits strategy that is aligned with the critical priorities of the business. 

  • Experience with global benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, spending accounts, commuter benefits, retirement plans, STD/LTD, voluntary & supplemental offerings, wellness programs, and COBRA. Experience with leave of absence administration; working with third-party administrators ensuring that leave programs are being administered timely, accurately, and in accordance with regional and local laws; calculate pay and duration of benefits while on leave. 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong collaborative relationships/partnerships within the company and with external vendor partners. 

  • Track record of managing accurate employee benefits data in HR systems, ensuring integrity, privacy, and adherence to data protection policies. 

  • Must be flexible in order to provide employee support in various time zones.
