Marketing Technology Analyst

The Marketing Technology Analyst will be the primary liaison between Global Business Solutions team and Bentley’s Marketing Organization and help drive improvements to business processes and marketing technology solutions. This position is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, operation and ongoing administration of our Marketing technology platforms. This position is based in our Exton, PA global headquarters.



  • Responsible for administration and configuration of SAP Marketing Cloud and other Marketing technology tools
  • Work with numerous levels of business users around the world to gather requirements, evaluate and translate those into workable solutions in SAP Marketing Cloud and other non-SAP solutions
  • Lead business and technical design sessions and work with other solution analysts to design and implement solutions to meet critical business objectives
  • Understand all facets of the various platforms for B2B clients, such as creation of cross-channel campaigns, implementations of lead scoring, lead nurturing, alerts, routing and notifications, segmentation, personalization, budgeting and planning and creation of ROI reporting and key metrics
  • Demonstrate knowledge of marketing campaign planning and execution practices related to email, interactive and cross-channel marketing initiatives
  • Analyze master and transaction data coming into Marketing Cloud from multiple channels in the landscape and enhance data validation, syndication and cleanup processes
  • Designing dashboards & reports within SAP Marketing Cloud, and SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Manage and ensure role-based permissions are in compliance
  • Validate functionalities after quarterly release upgrades, and hot fixes and handle the communication on upgrade schedule, impact of upgrade and new functionalities introduced
  • Work with other technical teams on designing integration of Marketing Cloud using middleware (HCP/CPI) with SAP Sales Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP ECC and non-SAP applications like Sitecore CMS, ON24 event platform and Google Analytics
  • Gather information, determine alternatives, create requirements, functional/technical specifications, estimate development hours, create technical design to meet defined business needs
  • Troubleshoot system problems, investigate, analyze and recommend short-term/long-term solutions
  • Develop product modifications and collaborate with the software vendors for product improvements
  • Define/implement workaround processes, corrective action, communication and system cleanup activities
  • Formulate and execute positive and negative unit test plans and assist in developing system regression and performance test plans for enhancements or new releases in the various test and productive environments
  • Actively expand skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with colleagues

    Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of IT Experience, preferably on SAP Systems and primarily on Marketing Automation, CRM, Data Integration, Analytics
  • 2+ years of experience on Marketing automation Tools like SAP Marketing Cloud / Marketo / HubSpot / Eloqua
  • Experience in integrating marketing automation platforms with CMS like Sitecore, event management tools like ON24 and with E-mail, SMS, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google solutions
  • Good understand of Marketing Industry initiatives and processes like Segmentation, Campaign execution, Customer Journey Maps and Account Based Marketing, Budgeting and Planning and Sentiment Engagement etc.
  • Customer first mentality with demonstrated ability to improve processes and be a team player
  • Ability to multi-task development, support and on-going maintenance projects and meet deadlines in a complex and dynamic environment


Desired Skills

  • 2+ years of SAP Marketing Cloud / Hybris Marketing experience
  • 2+ years of SAP Sales Cloud / C4C experience
  • Minimum of 1 Full Life-cycle implementations of SAP Marketing Cloud
  • Experience on other Marketing Automation platforms is a bonus
