Position Summary:
Bentley Systems invites talented individuals to join our high-performance team of Sales Consultants and Engineers. As a Product Sales Consultant, you will generate sales revenue to meet or exceed established sales goals in software products, services, training and subscriptions. You will develop business opportunities in your assigned territory through combined efforts of you and those of your colleagues. In addition, you will qualify product related incoming sales leads generated from multiple sources and act upon the qualification within Bentley sales established timelines.


You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self-motivated, have experience preferably with inside and/or business-to-business sales and can comfortably communicate the trends and business issues with our users and prospects.  Your industry experiences in geospatial, photogrammetry, GIS, and/or surveying will enable you to help connect users with the best solution to move their business forward.  

 

Overview:
Product Sales Consultants are focused on finding business opportunities with new accounts.  This will be in addition to working with existing Bentley accounts to grow their product usage and portfolio.  They are responsible for selling product licenses, subscriptions and technical services.  Product Sales Consultants are responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas located within a defined geographic territory and specific product range.


Product Sales Consultants are expected to prospect and develop new business opportunities, as well as qualify and develop opportunities from incoming leads.  They will work closely with Bentley Account Managers to develop presentations and proposals for existing users and new prospects.  They will coordinate resources and collaborate with other Bentley colleagues where and when necessary. They will devote considerable amount of time to visiting prospects, existing users and sales events in their assigned territory.
 

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Prospect in your assigned territory using various media (existing contacts in the CRM System (Cloud4Sales), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Global Data Construction Intelligence Center, outbound calling, engaging in related public events such as trade shows, etc.)
  • Participate and present in relevant exhibitions, congresses and other events
  • Utilize our internal sale process to qualify leads and opportunities
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline, forecast and report business at defined intervals
  • Develop relationships at various levels within firms. Your points of contact will predominantly be 3D mapping and surveying companies as well as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction companies and owner/operators of infrastructure assets
  • Negotiating and implementing approved sales and service contracts
  • Utilize Cloud4Sales (Bentley’s CRM system) as a daily sales tool and reporting system to manage contacts, leads, all sales opportunities, and forecasts
  • Creating and managing effective territory sales plans
  • Hosting and (co-)presenting web presentations and demonstrations with Technical Engineers for prospects and users
  • Maintaining a high knowledge level of the company's applicable products and services

 

What You Bring To The Team:

  • You have a passion for technology and helping professionals achieve their ultimate business goals
  • You have a background in either geospatial, photogrammetry, GIS, and/or surveying
  • An understanding of basic photography fundamentals including aperture, ISO, focal length and images sensor size preferred
  • An understanding of commercial drone/UAV platform operations and capabilities is also preferred
  • You have work experience with products including (not exclusive): Pix4D, ReCap, Trimble UX5, 3DZephyr, PhotoScan, Simactive, RealityCapture
  • You have commercial talent, optimally 1-2 years’ experience in sales or customer service are preferred
  • You are a highly motivated self-starter with a customer service focus
  • You have a positive attitude, eye for detail, are resourceful and inquisitive
  • You have excellent verbal, written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to prospects via phone, web and onsite sales engagements
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required)
  • You should have the ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of your time
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or related industry experience in the AEC Industry, including 3D mapping and surveying is required
