Principal Software Engineer

Location: Exton, PA

Position Summary

Bentley Systems, Incorporated, Exton, PA opening for a Principal Software Engineer, responsible for leading IFCConnector web service development, importing IFC data to iModel format using BIS, Parasolid geometry APIs, CGAL library, ODA IFC SDK and STEPTools for integration with iTwin ecosystem tools and support U.S. infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• 5 years of Software Engineering experience and Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) standards, iTwin technology, AEC industry products.
• Programming languages (C, C++, C#, Python, TypeScript, React, TypeScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, Visual Studio, JSON, SQL)
• ParaSolid API library, STEPTools Library, CGAL Library, Azure CI-CD pipeline.
• Google Test Framework, GitHub & Copilot.
• Planning, designing critical components, code reviews, monitoring dashboards, tracking IFC updates, resolving escalations, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cross-team coordination, mentoring, and final decisions on code/DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Information Systems.
