The Program Manager works with the Engagement Marketing Manager (EMM) in the execution of Marketing plans.  The Engagement Manager frames plan strategy and goals, working with the plan owner Industry Marketing Directors (IMD), Product Marketing Managers (PMM) or Corporate Programs Marketing Director.  The Program Manager works with the EMM and the plan owner to ensure plans are executed as contemplated.

Responsibilities include managing the schedule and the execution of plan activities.   They ensure coordination of plan deliverables among team members as well completion of plans on time within budget and within scope.  They establish deadlines, documenting the Program and Campaign responsibilities and monitoring and reporting the status of Programs and Campaigns.

The Program Manager role also engages with the Regional Engagement, Event Marketing, Event Planning, Marketing Engagement, and the Brand and Content Services teams to ensure that work is aligned to achieve the goals and objectives outlined in the Marketing plan.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Support the IMDs, PMMs and CPMs in the planning and execution of the Marketing Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Engagement Marketers on the planning and execution of campaign strategy.
  • Project management of all programs/campaigns and projects within the Marketing Plan:
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
    • Work with the IMDs, PMMs and CPMs to define the program/campaign scope and objectives, including all relevant stakeholders in the definition/process.
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
    • Monitor and track the progress of the activities in the programs/campaigns.
    • Manage changes to the program/campaign scope, schedule and costs. Communicate all changes to the team and stakeholders.
    • Measure project performance using available tools and resources.
    • Escalate to management as needed.
    • Manage the relationships with external vendors and stakeholders.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
    • Support the Engagement Marketers in tracking program/campaign performance.
  • Develop, manage, and report on Marketing Budget, reconciling monthly:
    • Work with IMDs, PMMs and CITs to manage the marketing mix and regional budget distribution based on regular analysis of marketing activities.
  • Negotiate, manage the contract approval, artwork creation, deadlines, and invoice payment of North American Advertising and 3rd Party webinar contracts.
  • Work with IMDs, PMMs and CITs to specify and finalize the content of print and online ads and marketing collateral and determine the localization plan for these materials.
  • Ensure that all current and approved marketing materials are posted in the Brand Portal (internal) and ProjectWise (channel) for use by marketing, sales, and channel.


What You Bring To The Team:
