Logistics Maintenance Specialist

 

Location: Office-based, Exton, PA

 

Position Summary:

A Logistics (shipping/receiving) / Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods into and out of a facility. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing paperwork, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and shipments. Key responsibilities include receiving and processing inbound shipments, preparing, and coordinating outbound shipments, maintaining inventory records, and overseeing the overall appearance of the facilities. 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

Receiving and Processing Inbound Shipments:

  • Unloading and verifying incoming shipments. 
  • Checking for damages and discrepancies.
  • Processing freight bills and packing sheets.
  • Notifying appropriate departments or individuals when items are ready for pickup. 

Preparing and Coordinating Outbound Shipments:

  • Selecting and booking carriers.
  • Packaging and labeling items for shipping. 
  • Loading and strapping pallets. 
  • Tracking shipments and providing updates. 

Maintaining Inventory Records:

  • Logging receipt of items into the system. 
  • Verifying quantities and items against purchase orders and packing lists. 
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels, and updating records. 

Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicating with vendors and colleagues regarding shipments.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Responding to colleagues’ inquiries regarding shipping information. 

Building Maintenance Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operation of facility equipment and systems.
  • Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance with outside contractors.
  • Coordinate construction and renovation projects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate facility records and prepare reports for management.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facilities operations and knowledge of maintenance systems, technical operations, building codes, and regulations are preferred (HVAC, plumbing, light electrical).
  • Basic Handyman skills: ability to lift 60 lbs., climb ladders, and proficiency in using basic power/hand tools.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for local travel in company vehicle.
  • This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, office-based in the US.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
