Bridge Consultant
Location: Home-Based US / Hybrid Exton, PA.
Position Summary:
Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our successful User Success Services team as a Bridge Consultant. A Consultant plays an important role in delivering consulting and configuration services that empower our users.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Deliver consulting, configuration, and training services on Bentley’s bridge and structural engineering applications to existing and new software users
- Provide support and configuration services toward the migration of our software users to OpenBridge Modeler and Designer, ProStructures and MicroStation CONNECT Edition applications
- Assist in preparation of technical proposals and benchmarks.
- Perform software product training activities, project assessments, reviews, and audits.
- Collaborate with product development groups to continually improve the quality of the product based on user input.
- Serve as the primary liaison between company and software users.
- Develop and conduct technical presentations to existing and prospective users
- Create learning content in the form of written documentation, videos and webinars
- Does this role require communication with Managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
What You Bring to The Team:
- Structural / Civil Engineering degree or closely related degree required
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in the transportation, bridge, road, or rail design industry is required.
- Ability to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time is required
- Experience with MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler and Designer, and ProStructures is preferred. Experience with other related industry civil engineering software such as Civil3D and Trimble is beneficial.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills.
- Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate, configure and consult on the Bentley design software applications
- Ability to work on significant professional services projects with little supervision and lead others when needed
- Experience with and knowledge of department of transportation planning, design and construction workflows
