Senior Analyst Deal Desk Operations

Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst – Deal Desk Operations will serve as a hands-on deal strategist for EMEA & APAC, driving the successful execution of complex and non-standard deals. This role is responsible for bringing all designated stakeholders together to gain alignment, ensuring deals move forward efficiently and effectively.
As a trusted advisor to the sales organization, the Senior Analyst will analyze, structure, and facilitate deals to ensure they are commercially sound, compliant with company policies, profitable, and aligned with SOX regulations. Acting as the bridge between Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations, the Senior Analyst will play a central role in streamlining and automating approval processes, including thresholds, approver roles, approval routing, workflow design, and exception handling. You will lead deal structuring across all relevant functions, driving deals to completion while maintaining governance, compliance, and operational rigor. This role demands a combination of commercial acumen, process expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders to achieve timely, accurate, and compliant deal execution.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, structure, and facilitate complex and non-standard deals to ensure compliance, profitability, and alignment with company policies.
- Lead deal structuring across all relevant functions, ensuring offers are executable by Finance, Legal, and Operations.
- Act as the first point of escalation for sales teams on commercial terms, pricing, and approvals.
- Drive deals forward by bringing together all designated stakeholders and gaining buy-in.
- Ensure commercial integrity of all deals, maintaining profitability while adhering to SOX and internal approval rules.
- Streamline and automate non-standard deal approvals, thresholds, approval routing, exception handling, and workflows.
- Maintain a hierarchy of special terms, tips, and workarounds to enable faster deal execution without sacrificing compliance.
- Act as a bridge between Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations to ensure timely and accurate deal completion.
- Clearly communicate financial and operational impacts of deal structures to internal stakeholders.
- Support early engagement with Sales and Regional Directors to shape deals proactively.
- Implement methods and systems to increase team efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Provide insights on deal trends and market sentiment to improve commercial programs.
- Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement to build a scalable Deal Desk function.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Pricing with proven success in structuring complex deals.
- Strong background in financial modeling, pricing strategy, and risk management.
- Experience driving cross-functional alignment and influencing stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Salesforce or similar CRM/CPQ tools.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex commercial scenarios for diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Commercially astute with a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Detail-oriented while maintaining a big-picture view of deal strategy.
- Action-oriented, collaborative, and able to drive accountability across functions.
