Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Salesforce platforms, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven track record of translating complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions. This role plays a critical part in optimizing business processes, improving system adoption, and driving data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and Salesforce technical teams.
- Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements using interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Partner with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, Architects, and QA teams to design and deliver solutions.
- Configure and support Salesforce features such as objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and flows (as applicable).
- Support Salesforce implementations, enhancements, and integrations with external systems.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements aligned with Salesforce best practices.
- Manage backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT coordination in Agile or hybrid environments.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.
- Support production releases, post-deployment validation, and ongoing system optimization.
- Create and maintain documentation including business process maps, functional design documents, and training materials.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure solutions align with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst with a strong focus on Salesforce.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce platforms such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and declarative capabilities.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
- Experience working and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience supporting UAT and production releases.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Business Analyst, Sales Cloud Consultant).
- Experience with Salesforce integrations (APIs, middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and release management processes.
- Background in data analytics, reporting, or CRM strategy.
- Experience mentoring junior analysts or leading small project teams.
