Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Manager, Order Management to play a key role in our Financial Operations team. This team is central to Bentley's success, looking after our ‘order-to-cash’ processing, contract setup, invoice adjustments, and sales support for our Enterprise accounts.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, deadline-driven operational leader who is passionate about ensuring a positive customer experience. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the team, driving them to meet performance targets, and taking full ownership of all month-end and quarter-end closing activities. Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Order Management Specialists. Manage day-to-day activities, set priorities, and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Operational Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of software orders, from receipt to fulfillment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.
- Contract & Invoicing: Manage contract setup and oversee any necessary invoice adjustments, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Month/Quarter-End Close: Take full ownership of and manage all month-end and quarter-end closing procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
- Sales & Stakeholder Support: Act as the primary liaison for Enterprise Sales, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve order-related issues and provide critical support.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement solutions for process optimization within the team's daily operations to enhance efficiency and improve the customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Software Order Management function, including at least 3 years of proven experience managing a team.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong, hands-on experience with CRM and ERP systems is highly preferred. Specific experience with SAP or Salesforce is a significant advantage.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team to consistently achieve its operational goals.
- Process-Oriented: A strong background in managing operational timelines, with specific expertise in month-end and quarter-end financial closes.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and deadline-driven with strong time management skills and a passion for problem-solving.
