Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

Position Summary:


You will be part of a global FP&A Team that works under the CFO; but you are embedded within our R&D Division to support the Chief Product Officer. This role reports to the Finance VP based in the US.


You will be part of a global team of high performing colleagues across Europe and the US who support the Chief Product Officer and R&D Division Executive Management Team to optimize the Product Portfolio; deliver expected margin expansions; fund new initiatives and stay within budgetary guardrails you create and govern.


The Chief Product Officer leads six R&D Business Units that develop, maintain, support and implement the software that forms the basis for our extensive portfolio of solutions for Infrastructure professionals.


Over half of more than 4000 Bentley colleagues are employed in the R&D business unit.


Your Day-to-Day:


  • You're responsible for updating rolling budget models governing all OpEx budgets for each of the 6 R&D Business Units.
  • Your superb influencing skills and insights empower R&D Executives to maximize the return on their human capital. 
  • You are hands-on, deeply analytical with excellent business acumen.
  • You have the drive, aptitude and skills to influence experienced Executives.
  • You have experience working cross-functionally in matrix organizations, collaborating with Corporate Finance, Product Development, HR.
  • You represent R&D in the annual budget planning process led by Corporate Finance.
  • Your role includes leading ad-hoc projects, improving processes and systems that create data going into your models.


What You Bring to The Team:


  • Master’s Degree or MBA preferred, in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, International Business, Computer Science, or Data Analytics preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in finance/public accounting, management consulting, or technology.
  • Analytical skills and a deep understanding of databases/big data.
  • Strong Ability to influence Senior Executives.
  • Able to work independently and self-directed. 
  • Adaptive to change.
