Position Summary:

 

Bentley Systems has exciting opportunities for a motivated and detail-oriented CIAM Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) systems. You will work with cutting-edge technologies to build and maintain a secure, scalable, and reliable identity platform. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of IAM concepts and a passion for learning and applying new technologies. You will collaborate with a team of skilled engineers, product managers, and security professionals to deliver a world-class identity experience for our users.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of CIAM solutions, including user registration, authentication, authorization, and single sign-on (SSO) services.
  • Assist in the integration of CIAM systems with various applications and services using standards like SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Provide technical support for our CIAM platform, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to user identity, access, and security.
  • Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for CIAM systems and processes.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver new features and improvements to the CIAM platform.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical identity-related incidents.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Foundational IAM Knowledge: A solid understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and concepts.
  • Technical Aptitude: Experience with or exposure to identity protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux environments and basic command-line skills.
  • ITSM Tools: Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) and ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
  • Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and their associated identity services is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to learn new technologies and grow as an engineer in the fast-evolving field of identity and access management.
  • On-Call Availability: Willingness to participate in on-call support rotations.
