Position Summary:

As a key member of the Account Advancement Group, reporting to the Senior Director, Sales Operations & Enablement, the Director, Sales Enablement provides leadership for Bentley’s Sales Enablement group. The role builds and drives business insight, rigor, and efficiency for our sales organization. The successful candidate will lead a team of Sales Enablement colleagues responsible for delivering confidence to quota carriers, specifically at the Regional Director and Account Manager levels. The position is accountable for advancing a world-class sales enablement function for Bentley’s direct, channel, and inside sales teams. 


Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead a team of enablement colleagues in achieving Sales Enablement’s purpose to deliver unforgettable, highly consumable learning and development assets and experiences that measurably increase the effectiveness of Bentley quota carriers 
  • Create and sustain the energy required to deliver quantifiable outcomes 
  • Build cross-organizational relationships to deliver enablement in support of sales and account-facing colleagues; increase internal command, visibility, and centrality of enablement, from C-level to line colleagues 
  • Understand and realize opportunities to increase just-in-time enablement for coaches and quota carriers 
  • Guide the organization in delivering continuous, world-class programs for ongoing enablement and learning for the entire Account Advancement organization, spanning on-ramping and targeted, rolling enablement at product, regional, and global levels. 
  • Define matriculation path for Account Advancement colleagues at all levels of the organization 
  • Deliver measurement of impact of enablement assets and offerings; provide insights into metrics that extend across Sales Operations and Bentley 
  • Define a future-looking productivity roadmap assessing timelines and resources required to execute on key initiatives 
  • Continuously gather, analyze, and respond to feedback in alignment with organizational guiding principles (Clean the Code; Prepare the Field; Win the Business; and Predict the Future) 
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
  • This role requires 50-75% travelling.




What You Bring to The Team:

  • Extremely effective communicator with exceptional English writing and public-speaking skills; capable of interacting with colleagues at every level and across every business line, enhancing process engagement from stakeholders. 
  • More than 8 years in Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, Product Marketing, or Sales roles; with a demonstrated history of successfully leading Sales Enablement functions at regional and global levels 
  • Experience defining, delivering, and scaling enablement strategies 
  • Expertise in recognized Sales Enablement methodologies and practices; facility with Sales Enablement tools 
  • Conversant with common sales methodologies; experience with sales enablement in the context of subscription sales models 
  • Extensive experience orchestrating different teams and organizations (physically and/or virtually) to drive toward strategic goals 
  • Business consulting and project management expertise 
  • Detailed understanding of cloud, professional services, and subscription-based operations 
  • Ability to convert analytics into meaningful organizational action 
  • Ambitious, with the drive for, and focus on results and execution 
  • Record of exceptional performance including delivery of KPI improvement within a Sales Enablement function 
  • Implementation-level experience with Sales Enablement tools 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
