Position Summary:


Bentley Systems is seeking a Technical Consultant for our Cohesive Americas Division and Canadian Service Delivery department. The Canadian Service Delivery team specializes in implementing Enterprise Asset Management solutions to diverse industries across all markets and has grown to incorporate one of the largest in-house teams specialized in Maximo products and services.


As a Technical Consultant, you will be part of a team that configures Enterprise Asset Management software solutions. You can expect to work on complex challenges that will allow you to utilize your technical skills to build enterprise-level solutions and develop your Maximo skills, by contributing to both client and internal projects.

  • Configure and customize Maximo EAM solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of workflows, system configuration, and customizations to develop asset management technical solutions for customers.
  • Identify, interpret, and implement technical requirements.
  • Define application solutions based on client requirements.
  • Gather business requirements and convert them into system-level requirements, build user test scripts, develop end-user training materials, and conduct basic Maximo troubleshooting.
  • Develop documentation such as test plans, application guides and as-built documentation.
  • Manage and/or mentor colleagues.
  • Prepare technical documentation.
  • Take an active role in preparing responses to RFI and RFPs.
  • Provide client support.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects or larger scopes of work and design solutions based on your experience.
  • Deliver high-quality, value-added results for both client and internal projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients you are directly working with, to ensure we are providing value, building trust, and developing a strong working relationship.



Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing IBM Maximo, or a comparable EAM system (SAP, Infor, Oracle, Salesforce).
  • Database experience (SQL Server, Oracle and/or DB2).
  • IBM WebSphere and/or BEA WebLogic experience.
  • SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) expertise.
  • Windows and Linux/Solaris experience.
  • Working experience with Java and/or Python programming languages.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate with ease and clarity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within Canada and US.
