Location: Vaughan Office Based/Hybrid


Bentley Systems is seeking a Senior Consultant for our Cohesive Companies Division and Canadian Services group. The Canadian Services team specializes in delivering Enterprise Asset Management solutions to diverse industries across all markets and has grown to incorporate one of the largest in-house teams specialized in IBM Maximo Asset Management and IBM MAS products and services.  


As a Senior Consultant (functional), you will be a part of a team that manages the full lifecycle of implementing Enterprise Asset Management software solutions. You will be expected to lead design sessions, document your proposed solutions, and participate in system testing to ensure the delivery of a quality solution. While this role is primarily functional, it requires basic technical knowledge of IBM Maximo to ensure the feasibility of recommended solutions and to successfully interact with the technical team.

  • Gather business requirements and convert them into system-level requirements, build user test scripts, develop end-user training materials, and conduct thorough Maximo troubleshooting.
  • Participate in designing application solutions and configuration of Maximo based on client requirements.
  • Identify, interpret, and implement functional and technical requirements.
  • Perform thorough functional testing, identify, and remediate issues.
  • Develop documentation such as test plans, application guides and as-built documentation.
  • Deliver high-quality, reliable results while managing your time effectively.
  • Contribute to overall project objectives and specific team deliverables, provide functional leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Manage and mentor colleagues.
  • Take an active role in preparing responses to RFI and RFPs.
  • Provide client support, build, and maintain relationships with clients you are directly working with, to ensure we are providing value, building trust, and developing a strong working relationship.
  • Take ownership of smaller projects or larger scopes of work




  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working with IBM Maximo, or a comparable EAM system (SAP, Infor, Oracle, SalesForce).
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate with ease and clarity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio.
  • Experience with data visualization.
  • Experience supporting project deployments.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within Canada (Once COVID restrictions are lifted).
  • Technical writing capabilities and technical requirement gathering experience is an asset.
  • Good understanding of Internet architectures and working knowledge of Linux/UNIX and related applications is a plus.
