UX Designer II

Location- Brisbane, Australia (Hybrid)

Position Summary:

At Bentley Systems, we deliver solutions for complex engineering projects. Our users are the ones designing, building, and operating the world’s infrastructure. It requires us to know their needs very well, and this is where UX Design plays its critical role.

As a member of the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud UX team, you will use your knowledge and expertise to drive usability improvements across the entire infrastructure lifecycle, from design and construction to operations. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers as well as subject matter experts, and of course, users to deliver highly impactful, integrated, yet modular cloud-based solutions that help millions of engineers, construction professionals, and infrastructure owners across the world.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and help define project scope in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Contribute to the user research
• Translate user research findings into insights and design improvements
• Ensure that designs are consistent with our design system and contribute the designs to the design system
• Share and discuss problem solving approaches considering time and  requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of  professional portfolio that showcases your problem-solving process and design thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Figma
• Proficiency in rapid and high-fidelity prototyping
• Visual design skills and an eye for detail
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Experience working in an Agile, enterprise-scale product environment
• Ability to work efficiently and iteratively to produce design deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the design guidelines for Cloud / Mobile software
• Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field
• Familiarity with the infrastructure and/or construction field
• Prior exposure to BIM/CAD/3D (Computer Aided Design), engineering analysis and design software or related
