Product Manager II, iTwin Platform Ecosystem

 

Location: This position can be remote based from a home office in the US.   The successful candidate will be available and working during eastern or central time zone hours.

 

Position Summary:

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our iTwin Platform Team. The iTwin platform is an open, scalable cloud platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that enables independent software vendors, system integrators, engineering firms, and owner-operators to create, visualize, and analyze digital twins of infrastructure assets.

 

Your primary responsibility will be to lead engagements with both internal and external developers to understand their needs and enable their consumption of the iTwin Platform.  You will play a key role in helping to define and execute Bentley’s iTwin Platform PaaS strategy and in driving adoption of the iTwin Platform.

 

The ideal candidate has previous experience working with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings and is adept at working with both technical and non-technical personas to build and manage relations, collect feedback and synthesize meaningful insights from those engagements.  The candidate should be customer-oriented with great listening and communication skills.

 

This position also involves working with internal, cross-functional teams to both understand what they need from the iTwin Platform to successfully build and market their products and to leverage their industry expertise to improve the iTwin Platform.

You must be able to work independently and have a history of successful product implementations. You will leverage your technical skills and industry background to influence Bentley's rapidly growing PaaS offerings. 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Work with external companies (Independent Software Vendors, System Integrators, Digital Integrators and Engineer Firms) to assess and nurture relationships
  • Conduct market research and analysis.  Leverage the data acquired to identify, recommend, and prioritize investments that will help drive consumption of the iTwin Platform
  • Present the iTwin Platform to a wide variety of internal and external parties (technical and non-technical)
  • Participate in the development of sales enablement and marketing collateral, including standard presentations and demonstrations
  • Work with multiple products teams in Bentley to collect, set and communicate priorities
  • Investigate and document related vendors in the industry to identify both opportunities for partnerships and competition with the iTwin Platform.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 years of user engagement as product manager or owner
  • Experience in technology development, ideally regarding API consumption and Cloud technology
  • Proficient in effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences
  • Proven experience in delivering new technology which is adopted in the market
  • Experience in balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
  • Experience in applying a data driven approach to analyze and react to market adoption
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.

  • Ability to negotiate with cross functional teams to build consensus and align objectives
  • Proven track record of proactively identifying and mitigating obstacles to accelerate time to market
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies
